WHY SUPPORT LEGACY HOUSE
Because when a veteran dies or returns home forever changed, their family carries the weight of that sacrifice for a lifetime.
Legacy House is our promise that they won’t carry it alone.
Your support helps build more than just walls it creates a safe haven for children who’ve lost a parent, widows navigating life after service, and carers holding families together.
This is our chance as a community to say:
“We see you. We honour you. We’re here for you.”

Community Connection & Ongoing Care
A permanent hub for social events, group activities, and continued care reducing isolation for war widows, children, and carers, and helping them stay connected and supported for life.

Mental Health & Wellness Support
A safe, welcoming space for counselling, peer support, and therapeutic services to help families cope with grief, trauma, and the long-term impacts of service.

Crisis Accommodation
Short-term housing for veteran families facing emergencies including those fleeing domestic violence, seeking urgent medical treatment in Cairns, or experiencing homelessness.

Family Support & Life Skills Programs
Workshops, mentoring, and tailored programs that equip families especially children and carers with practical life skills, resilience training, and tools to rebuild confidence after loss or change.
