Army Duck Day - FNQ Legacy Fundraiser

Saturday 6th June

The Army Duck Rainforest Tour is where Rainforestation began — and on June 6th, we're dedicating a full day to celebrating these remarkable vehicles and the veterans they honour. Rainforestation operates Australia's largest fleet of 12 DUKWs, each an authentic World War II amphibious craft with a story to tell.

June 6th holds special significance as the anniversary of D-Day, 1944 — when DUKW amphibious vehicles were used extensively in the Allied landing at Normandy. It's a fitting day to reflect, remember, and give back.

Every Army Duck ticket on this day makes a difference.
50% of proceeds from all local experiences go directly to FNQ Legacy helping build FNQ Legacy House, a place of comfort and support for the families of Veterans in Far North Queensland.

All funds raised stay in Far North Queensland. 

Army Duck tour included with standard park admission.

Far North Queensland Legacy Gala - Presented by Elite Executive

Special guest speaker Peter Overton, will share remarkable stories from his acclaimed career as one of Australia’s most respected journalists, along with reflections from his service as a Wing Commander and Specialist Capability Officer in the RAAF Reserve.

Dance the night away with 1RAR Australian Army Band, a crowd favourite. Many attend just to experience their electric live performance, and this year will be no exception.

Hosted by FNQ Legacy Ambassador Tammy Barker, experience powerful moments, surprise highlights, raffles and a premium silent auction, all in support of local veterans’ families and Legacy House. 

Enjoy welcome drinks and canapés, a three-course menu and four hour beverage package.

Let’s “Raise the Roof” on FNQ Legacy House, supporting Veterans’ families from Cardwell to the Cape.

Charity Fun Run - IRONMAN Cairns

  • Cairns Esplanade
  • Friday, June 12
  • Starting 7.35am
    (Check -in and registrations from 6am)
  • Theme "Heroes and Legends"
This event will take place Friday morning of IRONMAN Cairns race week and will be filled with fun and laughter with a bit of exercise on the side. The 5km course will lead you up the Cairns Esplanade to soak up the morning rays before heading back the way you came and finishing under the official IRONMAN Finishers Arch in Lagoon Car Park. All profits from this event will be donated to the Far North Queensland Legacy charity.

Make it extra 'fun' by dressing up - "Heroes and Legends" theme.

We know not all heroes wear capes.We invite you to dress up as your favourite hero or legend (with or without a cape) to get in the spirit of the fun run.

There will be prizes for the best dressed individual and team.

We are so grateful to have been selected as the official charity Partner of The Great Pyramid Race in 2026!
By signing up to participate in the Fun Run - $30* of the Adult Entry Fees and $25* of the junior Fees will be donated to FNQ Legacy.
You can also choose to donate when registering for any of their other events.

Legacy Legends Charity Ride - Hosted by Military Brotherhood Military Motorcycle Club

Join us for the annual Legacy Legends Charity Ride, Sunday, August 2nd - with proceeds donated to FNQ Legacy to support local veteran's families.
We'll start and end at the Gordonvale RSL Sub Branch Hall - 94 Gordon St.
Registration from 9am, Stands up at 10am.
Entry $20. Eftpos will be available.
Enjoy the ride with raffles and games along the way - and great prizes up for grabs.
BBQ and Bar at the Gordonvale RSL afterwards.
