We have locked in a new date - FRIDAY THE 20TH MARCH.

Sorry, we had to reschedule due to inclement weather, but the great news is - we are back EVEN BETTER than before - with a special guest Bree Walker aka "Bobsled Bree" joining for a special meet and greet!

Bree Walker has just returned from competing for Australia at the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympics.
She is currently World number 2 in the Monobob and is coming home to Cairns to visit family and friends and is looking forward to giving back and connecting with the community at this special event.

We know how inspiring her story is for all women, but particularly young, female athletes who have big sporting dreams – so we have introduced special youth tickets so they have the opportunity to meet and hear from an Australian Winter Olympian, who represented not only her country, but Cairns at the most recent games.

So bring your teens along with you and have a wonderful night celebrating being women or soon-to-be women at this incredible event.

Far North Queensland Legacy Gala - Presented by Elite Executive

Special guest speaker Peter Overton, will share remarkable stories from his acclaimed career as one of Australia’s most respected journalists, along with reflections from his service as a Wing Commander and Specialist Capability Officer in the RAAF Reserve.

Dance the night away with 1RAR Australian Army Band, a crowd favourite. Many attend just to experience their electric live performance, and this year will be no exception.

Hosted by FNQ Legacy Ambassador Tammy Barker, experience powerful moments, surprise highlights, raffles and a premium silent auction, all in support of local veterans’ families and Legacy House. 

Enjoy welcome drinks and canapés, a three-course menu and four hour beverage package.

Trivia Night at Salt House

  • Tickets just $10 - with all funds donated to FNQ Legacy
Join us for a night of fun and facts at the Salt House's monthly Charity Trivia Night.
ANZAC Day is incredibly important to all of us, but particularly veterans and their families.
This April, help us raise funds to support the families of veterans who have died or have been seriously injured. All proceeds from your entry fee will be donated to FNQ Legacy.
FNQ Legacy will also have poppies, pins and other merchandise for sale, as well as a raffle and numbers board. Eftpos will be available, cash is also welcome.

The Woolworths Great Pyramid Race

We are so grateful to have been selected as the official charity Partner of The Great Pyramid Race in 2026!
By signing up to participate in the Fun Run - $30* of the Adult Entry Fees and $25* of the junior Fees will be donated to FNQ Legacy.
You can also choose to donate when registering for any of their other events.

Charity Fun Run - IRONMAN Cairns

  • Cairns Esplanade
  • Friday, June 12
  • Starting 7.35am
    (Check -in and registrations from 6am)
  • Theme "Heroes and Legends"
This event will take place Friday morning of IRONMAN Cairns race week and will be filled with fun and laughter with a bit of exercise on the side. The 5km course will lead you up the Cairns Esplanade to soak up the morning rays before heading back the way you came and finishing under the official IRONMAN Finishers Arch in Lagoon Car Park. All profits from this event will be donated to the Far North Queensland Legacy charity.

Make it extra 'fun' by dressing up - "Heroes and Legends" theme.

We know not all heroes wear capes.We invite you to dress up as your favourite hero or legend (with or without a cape) to get in the spirit of the fun run.

There will be prizes for the best dressed individual and team.
